a unique photo exhibition
Celebrating the life of a man who has given the idea of the modern city of Independent India & contributed immensely to the architecture of India.
at Ahmedabad at the mill owners building in collaboration with ATMA (Ahmedabad Textile Mills Association)
from the 18th of December to the 3rd of January

The exhibition was overseen by Ms. Francoise Gardier, the Cultural Atache to the swiss embassy to India. it was a pleasure to see the exhibition through her eyes. She brought so much of enthusiasm and shared so many aspects of the life and work of Le Corbusier with us that it was truly an educational experience.

Corbusier or Charles-Edouard Jeanneret-Gris was one of the pioneers of what is now called modern architecture, one whose name commands respect. He was aan urban planner, designer and Painter. He used photography as a tool to further his work at a time when it was not so common in ways that both provide a visual treat and give us a glimpse into the man that he was.

Thibaud Tissot the scenographer and graphic designer from Onlab media, who worked constantly with the Embassy’s team from Berlin for the past 10 months to design this exhibition also gave a talk at NID.
